Well, What can I say! Vodafone have been the best mobile broadband service by far! I've tried 3, and to be honest, although they may have ads placed everywhere, they're support is very poor at 3, and vodafone, clearly do have better support, and guide you.

Soon as I bought the Vodafone 3 Mobile Broadband (3mb) for 12 Months, It arrived the very next day, plugged it in, no trouble at all, got an average speed of 4-6mb! (They say upto 7.2mb)
Took it on holiday, and speeds were much better than 3 in fact, average speeds in London were about 2-3mb and even tried it on the Motorway (Although disconnected some times) but speed was still 5-6mb!

I don't know why people are rating this 3/4 out of 10 because to be honest, Vodafone are the best Mobile Broadband Service out there, OK, 3 beats them on price, but to be honest, quality matters, not looks and designs, although Vodafone does have a nice simple White dongle with there logo and supports 3G networks!

The coverage for Vodafone is also amazing! Took my netbook on the beech, plugged the dongle in, speeds of around 2-3mb which is pretty good, so can't complain!.

So, Overall, I would recommend the Vodafone 3mb Mobile Broadband Service, It's easy to setup, (Just Plug and Play basically). After trying 3's service, it was very poor. Vodafone are my number 1 choice for Mobile Broadband.

Things you may like: Allows you to connect to GPRS/3G Networks wherever you are, does state an estimate of how much bandwidth you are using, They do have trials which allow you to test it first, as well as Next Day delivery for your dongle!

Things you may not like: Setup may take some time when you first install it (i.e. 10-15 mins), I admit, in some area's you will get very low speeds, even reaching into the 56K Dialup connection speeds! But, nevertheless, I still feel that the speeds are the highest compared to other providers
Vodafone, Excellent Coverage, Fast Speed, Superb Support
3, Excellent Coverage, Low Speed, Disconnections, Bad Support
02, Not Bad Coverage, Average Speed, Excellent Support.

Overall I'm very happy with the Vodafone USB broadband stick. I travel lots on business and overall I get good speeds and a good connection. My one gripe is that speeds sometimes slow down going through certain areas on the train. I've also used it in a number of countries abroad and coverage has been good there too and I guess it's probably more secure than using an open network in a coffee shop.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with my Vodafone mobile broadband, it seems to work well even in rural areas and the speeds have been better than expected. Really simple to use, my 2 year old could probably set it up and I haven't had to phone customer service or technical support so far, touch wood!! I'm slightly annoyed to have paid full price though now I see they are advertising the same deals at half price!! That aside I'd give them top marks.

I have recently purchased the new t-mobile usb modem & is alot better than there older version with the old modem i found that the top speed you could recieve was 3.6mbps & that was with a excellent 3g coverage when i signed up they did a coverage test on my postcode & came up with 4/6bars for 3g coverage in my area i have done a speed test & i get on average 5.3mbps but can get upto 7.2mbps when its not peak times when there's not many people on the internet at the sametime also i have found that this is one of the best service for money as i found out from previous experience that other mobile company have what they call a fair usage policy & charge you upto £15.00 extra if you go over the download limit where as t-mobile dont so overall i would rate this a good service

I travel to lots of rural areas have had decent coverage in almost all of them with T-Mobile. The connection varies in speed but the time and convenience of having broadband anywhere is great for me. It's obviously not as fast as traditional broadband but I guess it's a new technology and that will come in time.

Review 3

So much better than getting mobile on your mobile phone. Admittedly not as fast as my Virgin cable home connection but great for working away from home.

Three broadband is great value, at £10 per month and no upfront cost you really cant fault the speeds and service you receive. Very Happy.

Review 2

Can't fault it unless I wanted to be super picky to quote another ad's punch line "It does what is says on the tin" enough said really.

Review 3

I've had Three Mobile Broadband for 3 months now and have always found the speed to be pretty good. Sure, it's not as fast as my home broadband but none the less I've been happy with it to date and the coverage is good.

Got O2 mobile broadband a few weeks ago and speeds are up and down, but in general it's been really useful to have internet access on the train.

Review 2

I purchased a pay as you go dongle from O2 about 2 months ago. I went to stay in Nottingham for a week thinking i'd be able to use my O2 dongle and I had no signal so was unable to use it. Have used it since in Manchester and was fine, when it works the speeds are not too bad.

Review 1

I was using BT internet dialup for years and decided to take on an Orange 18month mobile broadband contract.
I have to say that value for money and ease of use is excellent. I use the internet for emails, browsing and shopping and Orange mobile broadband is ideal and fast enough.
Forgot to mention - very easy to use, just plug and play.

Review 2

I purchased a mobile internet connection from Orange and have to say that i'm chuffed to bits with it. It's perfect for me whilst away from the office. Perfect for email, reading and editing MS docs etc.

Review 3

I travel on business regularly so signed up for the Orange moble broadband service. It's been great getting online wherver I am and coverage has been good but speeds are mostly really slow. I'd say it's fine for web surfing and emailing but not really suited to heavy downloading. It can struggle when I open large attachments from emails.
